Despite the controversy that befell him, Lee Seung Gi has contributed to the shine of Korean Drama this year. The Drama Lee Seunggi starred in, “The Law Cafe” made him win Daesang (Grand Prize) at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards.
On the afternoon of the 31st, the ‘KBS Drama Awards 2022’ ceremony took place at the KBS hall in Seoul, hosted by Jeon Hyun Moo, Jung Yong Hwa, and Hyeri.
The first ‘KBS Drama Awards’ took place in 1987, and this year marked the event’s 35th anniversary. Several dramas of various genres have aired in the last year.
Do Kyung Soo of ‘Bad Prosecutor‘ and Ha Ji Won’s “Curtain Call” took home the actors and actress top excellence award for the Korean Wave drama on this date.
Lee Seung Gi recently filed a criminal lawsuit against Hook Entertainment’s CEO and other directors, who he says cheated him out of years’ worth of money from his music and ad modeling work. Also, Lee Seung Gi got a lot of praise after he gave away a big chunk of the one-sided payment he got from Hook Entertainment when they tried to pay him back late.
